Welcome to the Oral Care Community!

Oral Care Community is passionate and dedicated to promoting oral health education and empowering rural communities. We believe oral health is essential for overall well-being and quality of life.

Its Vision: Quality oral health and sustainable development through education and empowerment goal is to contribute to reducing oral health disparities and empower communities to take charge of their oral health through community-based prevention strategies.

Also, we provide accessible, reliable, and evidence-based guidance on oral health and create a culture of diversity and inclusion among our beneficiaries.

At the Oral Care Community, we believe everyone should have access to oral health education and quality oral health care. We also collaborate with local partners and stakeholders to promote oral health awareness and advocacy.

The Oral Care Community was birthed in 2018 (officialised in 2023) by Dr Kevin Nganchfu (a medical student back then), a passionate dentist who discerned the need for better oral health education and resources in our communities. While growing up as a young boy in a rural village in Nkambe, in the North-west region of Cameroon, experienced firsthand the devastating effects of poor oral health owing to a lack of oral health education in the educational sector and poor distribution of trained and qualified oral care professional and desired to make a difference. Over the years, he has volunteered in several outreach programs and partnered with rural development groups, primary schools, and community centres to provide oral education and services to those in need. His dedication to improving oral health outcomes has allowed him to positively impact countless individuals and families within the Foumban community, where he currently serves as the lead dentist of the district hospital and beyond.
